SA Health Awards 2011

 The Health LEADS program, which includes ‘Developing LEADS’, the SA Health initiative to provide the Clinical Leadership Programme in Australia™ for SA Health staff in an interprofessional model, was recognised with an Award for ‘Excellence in Non-clinical Services’ at the recent SA Health Awards.

The SA Health awards are designed to recognise individuals, teams, programs and projects that have significantly impacted on the delivery of health services to the South Australian community. There are 10 Award categories that relate to the achievement of South Australia’s Strategic Plan goals, SA Health’s Strategic Plan objectives and the work of the South Australian Safety and Quality Program.

OPE Commissioner’s Awards for HR Achievement
In November 2006 we were awarded a Office of Public Employment - Commissioner’s Award for HR Achievement for the initiative to introduce the Clinical Leadership Programme to Australia.    

Awards are open to all sectors of Government. There were 24 nominations and 4 awards given. Judging was conducted by an independent panel consisting of Mr Jeff Walsh, Commissioner for Public Employment, Dr Tom Stubbs, Chief Executive, Office of the Government Reform Commission, and Ms Deborah Dickson, Executive Director, Institute of Public Administration Australia, SA Division.
