CLP Ceremony of Achievement 2005 |
|
The Ceremony of Achievement for the second round of Clinical Leaders and Local Facilitators in SA was held on 17 October 2005 and was a wonderful day.
The morning saw Clinical Leaders and their Local Facilitators presenting to each other their major learning from their involvement in the Programme. It was apparent that everyone enjoyed the opportunity to broaden their networks further, to reflect on what they had learnt and to reaffirm their intent to continue the journey that they have begun. In the afternoon, the Clinical Leaders and Local Facilitators were joined by invited guests for the more formal part of the day. The Minister for Health, the Hon Lea Stevens attended the ceremony and spoke very highly of the Programme. Chief Nurse, Adjunct Professor Debra Thoms also spoke of her support for the Programme and commended Dr Susan Mann on her significant achievements in implementing it in South Australia. Kristina Judd, a Clinical Leader from the inaugural Programme, spoke about how she had sustained and built upon what she had learnt and gave examples of significant practice changes that she has initiated since completing the Programme. Kristina’s presentation struck a chord with many of those present and provided a tangible demonstration of the longer term benefits for participants, their health units and most importantly, the people for whom we provide services. Each of the completing Clinical Leaders and Local Facilitators was presented with a Certificate of Achievement and there was tangible ‘buzz’ in the room as everyone’s achievements were acknowledged and certificates were awarded. |
