Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Awards 2007
On behalf of the Clinical Leadership Programme in Australia we congratulate all nominees and finalists and in particular the following category winners: 
  • Naomi Heinrich : Future Leader.  Naomi is the Nursing Director, Nursing Midwifery and Patient Services at Flinders Medical Centre and  was a Clinical Leader with the 1st Nursing and Midwifery cohort. 

We would also like to congratulate the following Clinical Leaders on being selected as finalists in the following categories
  • Mary Bright :  Metropolitan Clinical Practice –  Registered  Nurse/Midwife.  Mary is the Clinical Nurses Consultant for Chronic Respiratory Disease at Royal Adelaide Hospital and was a Clinical Leader with the 1st Nursing and Midwifery cohort.
  • Beth McErlean :  Research – Registered Nurse/Midwife. Beth is a Nursing Practice Development Consultant at Repatriation General Hospital and was a Clinical Leader with the 3rd  Nursing and Midwifery cohort.

This year’s Premier’s Nursing and Midwifery Scholarships 2007-08 recipients included Sharon Olsson, Nursing Director of Intensive and Acute Care Services/Staff Development at Central Northern Adelaide Health Service – Mental Health Directorate. Sharon is currently a Local Facilitator with the Clinical Leadership Programme in Australia™.   The scholarship will assist Sharon to explore ways of advancing acute mental health nursing practice.  We congratulate Sharon on this achievement and wish her with with her study tour.
